Meet Our MembersCTIAU Formally Established
The Chess Trainers & Instructors Association of Uganda was officially founded with a founding cohort of members drawn from across the country.
Four-Tier Membership Framework Adopted
The CTIAU licensing framework — DI, NI, FI, FT, and FST — was ratified, providing a clear FIDE-aligned career pathway for all chess educators.
UCF & Ministry Recognition
CTIAU secured formal recognition from the Uganda Chess Federation and began dialogue with the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Target: 100 Regulated Trainers
CTIAU sets an ambitious target to register and regulate 100 chess trainers across all four regions of Uganda within the first full year of operations.

Kalanzi Jude
ChairpersonChief Executive of the Chess Trainers and Instructors Association of Uganda, providing overall leadership and strategic direction for the organisation.
Wasswa Mark Nyola
Vice ChairpersonSupports the Chairperson in leading the Association and steps in to provide executive direction whenever required.
Kiggundu Tonny
General SecretaryOversees all official correspondence, safeguards Association records and the organisational seal, and coordinates the day-to-day administration of CTIAU.
Turyatenba Siliano
TreasurerServes as the finance officer of CTIAU, responsible for maintaining accurate accounts and managing all financial instruments on behalf of the Association.

Women AffairsDedicated to promoting the inclusion of women and girls in chess across Uganda, ensuring the game is accessible and welcoming at every level.
